No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories listed in the Sharing Your Information section below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

This Privacy Policy describes how drinks-on-me ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications, website at drinks-on-me.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

SMS Messaging and Consent

By providing your mobile phone number to drinks-on-me, you expressly consent to receive text messages (SMS) from drinks-on-me at the number provided. Message types you may receive include: gift drink notifications, redemption confirmations, and venue promotional offers. Message frequency varies, typically 1-5 messages per month per user.

Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@drinks-on-me.com. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile opt-in data and consent will never be shared with any third party. Your phone number, opt-in status, and message history are used solely to deliver the messages you have consented to receive.

Information We Collect

Phone numbers - to identify users, deliver gift drinks, and send service-related and promotional messages.
Name - provided by users during account setup or by senders when gifting a drink.
Payment information - processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full credit card details on our servers.
Order and transaction details - drink type, venue, time of purchase, time of redemption, tip amount, and review ratings.
Demographic information - optional, including birth date and gender.
Device and usage data - approximate location (when permitted), device type, and app interaction logs.

How We Use Your Information

To fulfill drink gifts and process redemptions at participating venues.
To send transactional messages: gift notifications, redemption confirmations, receipts.
To send promotional messages from drinks-on-me and from venues you have engaged with or opted in to. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
To process payments through Stripe.
To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use.
To analyze and improve the Service.
To comply with legal obligations.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. As stated above, mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

We share information with the following service providers, and only as strictly necessary to operate the Service:

Participating venues - operational details only (drink type, redemption code) shared with the venue where the drink will be redeemed, solely to fulfill that redemption. Venues do not receive your phone number for marketing purposes.
Stripe (payment processor) - payment information transmitted to Stripe to complete transactions.
Twilio (messaging provider) - phone numbers and message content transmitted to Twilio solely to deliver SMS messages you have consented to receive. Twilio is contractually prohibited from using this data for any other purpose.
Legal authorities - when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. No method of electronic transmission is completely secure.

Your Rights

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements.
Opt out of promotional communications at any time by replying STOP.

Age Restriction
